🚧🚦Major Roadworks and Temporary Traffic Lights in Cannock Chase the surrounding area over the next 2 weeks – 22^th February 2026 – Unless specified otherwise, all listed dates are in February🚦🚧 

⛔️ Watling Street, Norton Canes - Night Closures (21:00 - 6:00) between Chruchbridge, Bridgtown, and the Turf Island, Norton Canes, from the 16th until the 6th of March, by National Highways for maintenance works.

⛔️ Church Road, Norton Canes – Closed between Norton Green Lane and Butts Lane from the 16th until the 24th for repairs to water pipework. 

⛔️ Washbrook Lane, Norton Canes – Closed between Watling Street and Blakeney Way (including the roundabout) for pre-surface dressing, which is patching potholes.

⛔️ Cross Street, Cheslyn Hay - closed between High Street & Low Street from the 2^nd until the 6^th of March for Highway Investigation Works.

⛔️ Cannock Road, Chadsmoor – closed between High Street & Low Street on the 26th for Openreach to renew a telegraph pole.

⛔️ Moreton Street, Chadsmoor – Closure of the whole road from Cannock Road to Huntington Terrace Road for the Pothole Pro to come and fix some potholes from the 23rd until the 3rd of March. 

⛔️ Lansbury Drive, Chadsmoor – closed between Boswell Road and William Morris Grove on the 5^th & 6^th for Highway Carriage repairs.

⛔️ School Lane, Gentleshaw - Closed on the 3^rd March for gully cleansing by Staffordshire County Council.

🚦 Hill Street, Keys Park Road and Hemlock Way Roundabout, Hednesford - multi-way lights from the 2nd until the 5th of March for Highway Street Furniture Repairs and BT works that keep coming up, but aren't completed.

🚦 Burntwood Road, Norton Canes – various temporary lights along the road for streetlight works between the 2nd and 6th of March.

🚦 Hednesford Road, Brownhills West - two-way lights on the M6 Toll Bridge from the 25th until the 27th for South Staffs Water. (Still in application process)

🚦 Saredon Road, Cheslyn Hay - multi-way lights at Wolverhampton Road mini-roundabout from the 17th until the 19th for South Staffs Water.

🚦 Lodge Lane (A460), Cheslyn Hay - multi-way signals at Saredon Road Island from the 23rd until the 27th for investigation works on the road surface & drainage.

🚦 Avon Road, Cannock – multi-way signals at the ASDA traffic lights from the 26th until the 27th for Vodaphone to work on a mast.

🚦 Hednesford Road, Cannock – two-way signals between Pennine Drive and Allport Street from the 23rd until the 25th for works by South Staffs Water.

🚦 Green Heath Road, Hednesford - multi-way lights between Station Road and High Mount Street from the 4th until the 6th of March for Cadent Gas to rectify a defect.

🚦 Hednesford Road, Rugeley – multi-way signals at Style Cop Road from the 9^th until the 27^th for South Staffs Water to create a new service connection. 

🚦 Armitage Road, Rugeley – multi-way signals near Horsefair (near Town Centre) from the 25th until the 27th for Severn Trent Water.
