Missing dog Luna found safe after almost 10 weeks

A dog reported missing for almost 10 weeks has been found and reunited with her family after being unexpectedly located during a joint operation in Norton Canes.

Cannock Police confirmed this afternoon, Friday 11 September, that Luna was found during an operation involving officers from the Cannock Local Policing Team, Cannock Chase District Council and the RSPCA.

The operation at an address in Norton Canes was not directly connected to Luna's disappearance, but officers unexpectedly discovered her during the visit.

Police said Luna had been missing for almost 10 weeks and has now been safely reunited with her family.

In a statement, Cannock Police said they were "delighted" to have been able to reunite Luna with her owners.

However, the circumstances surrounding her disappearance remain under investigation, with police confirming that their enquiries are continuing.

The unexpected discovery brings a happy ending to nearly ten weeks of uncertainty for Luna's family.

Staffs.News will provide any further updates if more information about the circumstances of Luna's disappearance is released.
