🚧🚦Major Roadworks and Temporary Traffic Lights in Cannock Chase the surrounding area over the next 2 weeks – 15^th February 2026 – Unless specified otherwise, all listed dates are in February🚦🚧 

⛔️ Watling Street, Norton Canes - Night Closures (21:00 - 6:00) between Chruchbridge, Bridgtown, and the Turf Island, Norton Canes, from the 16th until the 6th of March, by National Highways for mainteneance works.

⛔️ Church Road, Norton Canes – Closed between Norton Green Lane and Butts Lane from the 16^th until the 24^th for repairs to water pipework. 

⛔️ New Horse Road, Cheslyn Hay - Emergency Closure between Station Street and Salters Meadow is expected until the 16^th for emergency repairs to a Gas pipe.

⛔️ Cannock Road, Chadsmoor – Closure between Heath Gap Road & Old Fallow Road on the 26th for Openreach to renew a telegraph pole.

⛔️ Moreton Street, Chadsmoor – Closure of the whole road from Cannock Road to Huntington Terrace Road for the Pothole Pro to come and fix some potholes from the 23^rd until the 3^rd of March. 

⛔️ Moss Road / Moss Street / Church Street / Burns Street, Chadsmoor – Various closures between the 16^th and 20^th for pothole repairs & pre surface dressing patching. 

⛔️ Chapel Lane, Gentleshaw - Closed on the 16th for National Grid to clear trees from electrical cables.

↘️ Orbital Way, Norton Canes - Lane Closure from the 16th until the 19th for pre-surface dressing preparations.

🚦 Hednesford Road, Heath Hayes – two-way lights, between Bank Street and Stafford Street from the 16^th until the 18^th for South Staffs Water to repair a stop tap. 

🚦 Hill Street, Keys Park Road and Hemlock Way Roundabout, Hednesford - multi-way lights on the 24^th of February for Highway Street Furniture Repairs.

🚦 Norton Road / Hednesford Road / Walsall Road, Norton Canes – various signals at various points along these roads from the 16^th until the 19^th. This is for works to be done to streetlights along the road. 

🚦 Hednesford Road, Brownhills West - two-way lights on the M6 Toll Bridge from the 25th until the 27th for South Staffs Water. (Still in application process)

🚦 Saredon Road, Cheslyn Hay - multi-way lights at Wolverhampton Road mini-roundabout from the 17th until the 19th for South Staffs Water.

🚦 Lodge Lane (A460), Cheslyn Hay - multi-way signals at Saredon Road Island from the 23rd until the 27th for investigation works on the road surface & drainage.

🚦 Watling Street, Bridgtown - two-way signals between North Street and Cross Street on the 19th between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm for BT Openreach.

🚦 Avon Road, Cannock – multi-way signals at the ASDA traffic lights from the 26th until the 27th for Vodaphone to work on a mast.

🚦 Walsall Road, Cannock - two-way signals near ALDI & Caxton Street on the 20th for BT Openreach.

🚦 Church Street, Cannock - two-way signals at Coniston Way on the 19th from 9:30 am until 3:30 pm for Severn Trent Water to do maintenance work.

🚦 New Penkridge Road, Cannock – two-way signals between Dartmouth Road / Park Road mini-island and Kilmorie Road on the 20^th to replace streetlights. 

🚦 Hatherton Road, Cannock - two-way signals betwen Gorsey Lane and Sherbrook Road on the 20th for drop kerbs to be installed.

🚦 Hednesford Road, Cannock – two-way signals between Pennine Drive and Barnard Way from the 16^th until the 20^th for works by National Grid.

🚦 Hednesford Road, Cannock – two-way signals between Pennine Drive and Allport Street from the 23rd until the 25th for works by South Staffs Water.

🚦 Pye Green Road, Chadsmoor – two-way signals between Albert Street & Edward Street from the 16th until the 19th for works by South Staffs Water.

🚦 Cannock Road (A34), Huntington / Pottal Pool – two-way signals between Pottal Pool Road and Buxtons on the 18^th for Highway Ironwork Repairs by Staffordshire County Council. 

🚦 Rugeley Road, Hazel Slade - two-way lights between Rawnsley Road and Hazel Drive between the 16^th and 20^th for a new water connection from South Staffs Water.

🚦 Hednesford Road, Rugeley – multi-way signals at Style Cop Road from the 9^th until the 27^th for South Staffs Water to create a new service connection. 

🚦 Coalpit Lane, Brereton – multi-way signals between Birch Lane and Main Road from the 12^th until the 22^nd telecommunication ducts to be installed. 

🚦 Armitage Road, Rugeley – two-way signals between Thompson Road and Wheelhouse Road on the 16th for Staffs County Council to complete tree pruning.

🚦 Hagley Road, Rugeley – multi-way lights at Western Springs Road from the 18th until the 20th for streetlight replacements and refurbishments.
